Tonight I will be distributing the Most Improved Player award.Since I gave the same amount of credit for players that are new to the team with players that were already with the franchise, The Most Improved Player goes to WR MIKE SIMS-WALKER.

With only two Jags in the Pro Bowl in Jones-Drew, 2nd string RB, and Garrard, alternate for Peyton Manning, TealPower.com will give you a play-by-play of their contributions to the game. Garrard and Jones-Drew both ended the game. Pretty borinng game so far if you are a Jags Fan. Mojo and Garrard get only one late series into the 2nd quarter. Im glad Im not at the Pro Bowl, because I would be gone at halftime. There has only been a few plays that were nice and that was a TD by WR Andre Johnson and any time Josh Cribbs touches the ball on special teams.
Should Jags keep Reggie Nelson?

eggie Nelson, starting S for the Jags, just finished his third year out of a five year contract. He was drafted in the 1st round of the 2007 NFL Draft as the 21st player selected. But has he done enough for the team to deserve to stay on the roster? The Jags should release him of his contract because he has not been worth the investment. Look at his numbers thru the last two seasons and see for yourself that he should be released or work more on his pass defense.
Josh, takes lessons from Mike Hollis
After his 3rd year in Jacksonville, K Josh Scobee didnt Read the rest of this entry >>
have a great year only making 18 of 28 field goals. He only missed one inside of 40 yards but missed nine out of sixteen attempts beyond 4o. This wont cut it Josh because the league average was at 81%. He started his career making 92.3 percent of his kicks and last year made 76. This decline has to improve or he might be on the unemployment list like a few kickers were this year. The making of routine kicks will definitely keep your job but your momentum could change in one instance. Nate Kaeding for the Chargers was a huge goat as he missed two big field goals as the Chargers lost to the Jets by three points. Before that game, Kaeding was the most accurate K in NFL History. Scobee, I suggest you call up a former great Jags K in Mike “Money” Hollis.
The Biggest Offseason need is . . .
a pass rush. Last year the team did not even average one sack per game. They finished the regular season with 14 total sacks lead by big John Henderson with 3. The Jags opponents sacked Garrard and the rest of the QB’s 44 times and that is a ridiculous difference. There is no choice in the matter because if the defense could have made one or two more sacks a game, they would be in the playoffs. Five of the games they lost, the score difference was less than a TD. Ive jotted down a few names that the team should take in the Draft. Read the rest of this entry >>
General Admission instead of Lower Ticket Costs.
The Jags again had another losing season under Del Rio and the organization had to find a way to fill the teal-colored seats of Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. Out of the eight home games the Jags hosted, seven were blackouts. The only one to sell out was Peyton Manning and the undefeated at the tine Colts. Week 2 at home vs Arizona should have been a good crowd especially with Kurt Warner, Larry Fitzgerald, and Anquan Boldin playing and the game was still a blackout. If the team cant get a good crowd against a great team, than what good is lowering the ticket prices. They should have made a change and now they are in a contract extension where they pay Del Rio for three more years for a total of 15 million. Read the rest of this entry >>
Wayne Weaver to meet with Del Rio on Tuesday
Jack Del Rio will have a big meeting with Wayne Weaver this Tuesday where Del Rio will be “interviewing” for his job. Del Rio is coming off a 7-9 season and a 57-55 coaching record in Jacksonville after seven years. He does have a contract that does extend through the 2012 season with a total salary of 15 million but he might get it paid off. The Jaguars ticket sales are one in the worst in the league with only one home game selling out this year. Most of the rest of the home games have lead to a blackout. With the bad record this year, the Jags will enter the 2010 NFL Draft as the 10th pick in the 1st round. Read the rest of this entry >>
Mediocrity=Del Rio, Productivity=Cowher

The Jags should let Coach Del Rio go and hire Bill Cowher. Cowher has a great winning record and a Super Bowl title on his coaching resume. His leadership will shine especially against the Indianopolis Colts where Cowher won 4 of the 5 times he coached against them and never lost to Indy in the playoffs. If the Jags want to win again, they need a different strategy and motivation that these current coaching regime has been lacking.
Jags lose 4th in a row and end season 7-9
The small microscopic chance of the Jags making the playoffs definitely ended when the Jags lost their last regular season game to the Browns. The loss to the Browns made the future for Del Rio seem not so bright as the teams ended the season on a four game losing streak. The team was without starting WR Torry Holt and Marcedes Lewis so that took any offensive weapons that the Jags had down a notch leaving only Jones Drew and Sims-Walker to carry the offense.
