Great game for the Defense
October 5th, 2009 | by Nate Bruce |No running for Tennessee
The Jags defense used its 3-4 to stop Titans RB’s Chris Johnson and LenDale White. They held the Titans backs to 18 carries for 85 yards and no TD’s. Gerald Alexander was even able to strip Johnson on the Titans 40 and was recovered by S Reggie Nelson.
Even though the Jaguars secondary gave up 284 yards passing and 1 TD to Kerry Collins, they were able to force 2 INT. They played very well in the 1st half giving up only three points. Most of the points that the defense gave up came when most of the starters were done for the day with a big lead on the scoreboard. I give my game ball of the Jags win to the defense and Gerald Alexander for forcing one fumble and one interception. Great game and keep it up defense.
