Fantasy players, Hyphens, Score Prediction

October 9th, 2009 | by Nate Bruce |

Most people have already decided but it is a good idea to start Maurice Jones-Drew this week against the Seahawks  The Seahawks defense average 124 yards on the ground per the season so you know the team will go back to Jones-Drew. You might also think about starting Garrard. The Seattle secondary the past few weeks has been scorched by Peyton Manning and Jay Cutler. Mike Sims-Walker, Marcedes Lewis, and Jones Drew have been the most consistent in catching the ball in open spaces and moving the ball toward the end zone. Jones Drew will get the attention of the safeties so expect a lot of Play Action passing to Lewis and maybe Holt will show up for the first time this season and end up in the end zone.

One Question I have for NFL players is that Why is everyone using a HYPHEN? At UCLA, he was not Jones-Drew but just plain Maurice Drew. Another player that added the hyphen when he went to the pros was WR Mike Sims Walker out of Central Florida. I never heard about him in college so I asked a source and was told that he was just Mike Walker. I guess the added hyphen made lead to more plays or more money for the agents. I guess Ill never figure out why they change their name. At least they didn’t change their legal name to a number like Chad “8, 5″ Ocho Cinco.

Game Prediction: Jags continue winning streak with the running game of Greg Jones and Jones-Drew. Hasselbeck and Seneca Wallace will have decent games but not enough to win. JAGS 23-SEAHAWKS 14
