Prediction for Texans game

December 5th, 2009 | by Nate Bruce |

As I wrote my last post, this game will be a shootout because neither defense is very good. The Texans are coming off a heart breaking loss to Indianapolis at home while the Jags are coming off another no show road loss to the 49ers. The Jags defense are again without Rashean Mathis who is nursing a groin injury so look for Matt Schaub to pick them apart. Jones-Drew has to get off his recent slump and lead this team to victory because Garrard has been struggling lately with too many fumbles. Sims-Walker will be a factor in the passing game but the Texans will fire back with big play WR Andre Johnson. This game will come down to who has the ball last in the 4th quartero and which defense can make a big stop. This game is another home blackout so dont expect the crowd noise to rattle Houston. These next three games will determine if the Jags even have a chance at the playoffs because they need to win the next three or go ahead and cancel your postseason plans. Prediction: JAGS 28-TEXANS 24.
