Jags will BEAT the Streak
December 15th, 2009 | by Nate Bruce |My Prediction: The Jags WILL end the Indianapolis Colts undefeated streak because the Colts have already clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Coach Jim Caldwell will probably rest his starters for most of the games including QB Peyton Manning who will play long enough to keep his starting streak alive and thats it. This should help the Jags secondary attempt to slow down WR’s Reggiee Wayne and Austin Collie. No team so far this year has shutdown TE Dallas Clark so look for the Jags try to contain him and not be able to make big 3rd down catches. RB Joseph Addai and the Colts rushing attack has been non existent this year so look for a better chance for the DE to get pressure on Peyton and try to move him out of the pocket. No team has been able to stop the best passing attack in the league but the Jags have to limit the big play of the Colts and make the offense grind down the field.
The Jags Offensive Line has to get in sync to protect Garrard from big Dwight Freeney and his 11.5 sacks. The best way for them to attack the Colts defense is to run Jones-Drew till his legs fall off. MoJo wants to see the starters because he said he would be furious (he used a different word ) and it would be a sign of disrespect. He has had previous success against the Colts mainly because of his height. He is so small that he gets hidden behind blockers and LB, DT have a hard time finding him. Look for his legs to fall off because he will refuse to have the team lose at home to the Colts again. This game is about pride and who wants it more.
The Streak Will End as Jacksonville will get the Victory 23-14
